Our Story

Hi, I’m Christy! My family and I are the proud owners of Denver Love Goats. Our little herd includes three mama goats—Liliana, Marigold, and Primrose—plus their babies Daisy and Tulip. They live with us in Park Hill, alongside nine chickens, a big lovable Mastiff, and our three kids.

We never set out to own goats, let alone start a goat business—but sometimes life has a way of surprising you.

Our journey began when our daughter, who volunteers at The Urban Farm (a wonderful nonprofit that introduces city kids to agriculture and farm animals), was helping care for a group of rescued fainting goats. What no one realized at first was that all three of the rescues were pregnant—and one day, there were suddenly seven baby goats bouncing around!

All of them were healthy, except for little Lily. Her mother had rejected her, which meant she needed to be bottle-fed every two hours to survive. By pure chance, I was at the farm that day to pick up my daughter when they asked if we could take Lily home. How could anyone say no?

Armed with a bottle, a towel, and a lot of YouTube videos, we dove into goat parenthood. Soon after, we added Primrose, another tiny baby in need of care. We bottle-fed them through the winter, bundled them in thrift-store sweaters, and even tucked them into jackets to keep them warm. Because they grew up cuddled, fed, and loved by humans, they became incredibly gentle, social, and happy goats.

Later, we welcomed Marigold, our one purebred, registered Nigerian dwarf show goat—rounding out our little family of rescues and show goats alike.

At first, we just brought the goats along with us to coffee shops and errands for fun. They made everyone smile, brought instant serotonin boosts, and quickly became local favorites. One day, the owner of Dandy Lion Coffee suggested we host a “coffee, goat, and chicken day” just to make people happy. The event was a hit—so many smiles, so much joy, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

And that’s how Denver Love Goats was born.

Today, we bring our herd to businesses, community spaces, and events all across Denver—sharing joy, connection, and a little goat magic wherever we go.
